Prebiotic v/s probiotic

Simple,yet important topic to be discussed.Many of us consider prebiotics and probiotics same. But to your surprise,they are a lot different from each other.

However,both of them aid in good digestion and keeping the intestinal flora healthy.heres,the point you may want to know now:-

Probiotics are live bacteria naturally found in dairy products,yogurt,fermented food etc.while,
Prebiotics are indigestible specialized plant fibres that nourishes the good bacteria already existing in our gut.

Probiotics get affected by heat,cold,stomach acid and time.Efforts are made to keep them alive.
While,prebiotics are unaffected by any of these.
Prebiotics are broadspectrum and nourishes all kind of good bacteria and eliminate the bad ones.while,probiotics have to compete 1000s of bacteria in the gut.

Prebiotics have been proven to provide overall health benefits but probiotics wide range action are still not proven.
